Passionate About Helping & Inspiring Others
I believe in complete transparency when it comes to sharing my story and the reason behind why I do what I do. I am invested in knowing the story behind every person I work with and I feel it is just as important that they know mine. I have found my passion and purpose in the trenches of navigating my own personal struggles, and I am now able to share my experience with others in hopes that they find inspiration, comfort and reassurance in familiarizing with it.
"This is what we are to do. We are healed to help others, we are blessed to be a blessing."
Rick Warren
I had a great pregnancy but really struggled in my postpartum due to a traumatic birth, lack of support and multiple breastfeeding issues. I felt completely defeated in what was supposed to be such an exciting and beautiful time in my life. I searched for more support but felt disconnected to the limited, generic and biased resources out there for mothers postpartum and I felt more judged than supported in some of the mom groups I attended.
"Wherever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind,
your body and your spirit for the rest of your life."
Ina May Gaskin
Seeing a naturopath that specialized in women's health was my only successful step forward in my quest for more answers and support. After various blood and hormone tests my naturopath dug deep and found the root cause as to what was going on and approached my diagnosis and treatment holistically. I took her natural supplementation suggestions and implemented them into my daily routine. In addition, I put my own nutritional knowledge into play and started focusing on consuming low inflammation, nutrient dense, whole foods. I immediately began to see some great changes in my energy, mood, and sleep, and in follow up blood tests my health issues were starting to reverse. Nutrition, exercise and effective stress management began to play an important role in my recovery and rehabilitation. The intense anxiety, depression, insomnia, and mood swings that I was experiencing were drastically reduced and I started feeling strong and capable again, instead of overwhelmed and defeated. I was so intrigued and amazed at how natural foods and supplementation alone were able to reverse my health issues and help me instantly feel better.
Navigating my postpartum struggle has taught me so much about myself, my body, my faith and the healing power of natural foods and exercise, and it has inspired me to help other woman who are dealing with similar issues in their pregnancy and postpartum. I am passionate about the power that whole foods and exercise can have on our physical and mental well being during such a vulnerable time for women. There are so many natural ways in which we can influence positive change within our bodies during this time.
I have decided to mesh together my extensive personal training and nutrition coaching experience with my new education and training as a Postpartum Doula, so that I can offer women a one-stop-shop for education, training and support that will empower them to thrive from conception, all the way through postpartum. My hope is that every bit of a woman's being will be taken into consideration when optimizing her health as a whole. Mental health is just as important as physical health and it is imperative that we nurture a women's mind, as well as her body. Mental health support, proper birth & postpartum planning, self care and a lifestyle involving exercise and healthy, nutrient dense foods can have profound effects on a woman's overall health and will lead to happier and healthier mothers.
"Mothers cannot give from a depleted source. Every mother needs emotional, mental, physical and spiritual validation, nourishment and support. When a mother is respected and well care for,
she and her whole family will benefit."

My sole intention on starting this business is for me to serve and empower women to soak in the raw beauty of being a mother; craziness and all. To help them feel nurtured and nourished so that they can pour all of their energy and time into raising a beautiful family. I want the unnerving stigma of a hard and unhappy motherhood to disappear and be replaced with power, community, love and strength.
I love connecting with women and my goal is to build a community in which we can all prioritize our health and well being by encouraging one another through the daily struggles and motivating each other to become better each day by celebrating our victories and wins together, along the way.
